If you bought a British Airways or Virgin Atlantic Ticket between 11 August 2004 and 23 March 2006, you may be entitled to a partial refund of the fuel surcharge.

How to make your claim

You may be entitled to a refund of between £4 and £20 per passenger per long-haul return ticket, if you bought a ticket in the UK or in the US between 11 August 2004 and 23 March 2006

  • All flights on Virgin Atlantic are “long-haul.” 
  • Most British Airways flights between the UK and non-EU destinations are long-haul.

Please note that all claims need to be registered by 31st December 2012.

Capita Business Travel can supply you with the ticketed information required for your claim, and will cover all tickets issued on your behalf over the qualifying period from 11th August 2004 through to 23rd March 2006.

The validating process of the Airline will determine whether or not the ticket is eligible for partial refund of the fuel surcharge. Only tickets deemed as Flown by the carrier will qualify for the partial refund.  

Capita Business Travel will supply the data required to process your claim, at a cost of £250.00 plus VAT. By forwarding a request for data you accept this charge and subsequent invoice terms and conditions.
